This rafting trip is the longest navigable route in the Serre Chevalier valley. You will start from Le Casset to Briançon on more than 18km of river.
The course is divided into two parts:
The first part, called Upper-Guisane, consists of class 2-3 rapids. Open and playful, this section of river is perfect to learn rafting and admire the landscape of the valley and the Ecrins National Park. The pretty Guibertes rapids of level 3 will be a good test for the rest.
The second part is more technical and sensational. It is called Lower-Guisane and consists of class 4 rapids. Each level 4 crossing has a name describing its characteristic. You will pass the Wallet rapid, the Labyrinth rapid and many others. This part is also the most preserved and wildest part of the Guisane because, being deeper, it is surrounded by forest.
If you want to explore the Serre Chevalier valley from its highest to its lowest point on the river, this rafting trip is for you. Escape, Discovery and Sensation guaranteed!
As with all our whitewater activities, the meeting point is in Monêtier-les-Bains at our rafting base where you can change and equip yourself for your adventure.
From there, we take you by minibus to the village of Le Casset at the highest navigable point of the Guisane.
After a briefing, your guide will take you on the rafting trip for 2 to 2.5 hours of navigation.
When you arrive at the Briançon disembarkation point, we will take you back to our base.
You will have the opportunity once changed to see your photos of the descent in a good mood.
