Description

The airboat is an inflatable kayak specially designed for whitewater navigation. Its inflated structure and self-bailing bottom give it a stability and tolerance that allow novices to tackle whitewater without technical skills. You progress alone on your boat accompanied by your guide and discover the techniques of navigation in alpine rivers. This boat provides the sliding sensations of kayaking in white water, with fantastic play possibilities, without the inconvenience of turning over a rigid kayak because it is much more stable and secure.

This course will allow you on a first part to initiate you with the boat then on a second part you will chain rapids of class 3 corresponding to a sporting level. Your guide will accompany you all along the course to give you the technical bases and to secure your descent.

To the program

The meeting point for the activity is in Monêtier-les-Bains at our reception point located along the river near the Grands Bains.

You will be equipped on site and we will transport you to the start of the course.

Before embarking your guide will give you a short technical briefing on Canoraft and white water safety so that you are ready to navigate on the river.

During the descent you will cross small playful rapids, you will cross the village of Villeneuve à Serre Chevalier, bucolic view of the river, you will pass in front of the rock of the Whale to arrive at Chantemerle. From there you will start the more technical rapids passing by the famous Alphand threshold and then on to Saint-Chaffrey.

Back at our rafting base you will be able to enjoy the pictures of your Airboat performance.
